About Voltranker

The electric and hybrid vehicles you can actually buy in Pakistan.

Not global review scores translated for a local audience, and not dealer marketing rewritten as advice. Scores built on Pakistani prices, Pakistani roads, Pakistani service networks, and the charging infrastructure that exists here today.

Why this exists

We asked before we built

Anyone shopping for an EV in Pakistan right now is working from YouTube reviews, dealer claims, and WhatsApp forwards.

That gap is what Voltranker exists to close.

18

buyers and owners interviewed before a line of this site was written

  • Almost all of them named YouTube as their main source of information.
  • Most raised charging availability as their biggest worry without being asked.
  • Several described making a purchase decision they later regretted, because nobody had told them what living with the car would actually be like.

What we cover

Five things, done properly

Rather than twenty done thinly. Anything we cannot assess to the same standard is listed but not scored, and said so.

Cars

Every electric, plug-in hybrid, range-extender and hybrid on sale, with variant-level pricing and an on-road estimate rather than the ex-factory figure on its own.

Bikes and scooters

Listed and specified, and deliberately not scored. The eight pillars were built for four wheels, and applying them to a two-wheeler would produce a number that looks authoritative and is not.

See the listings

Charging

Public charge points and home hosts on one map, each carrying its connectors, power rating and the date it was last verified. Nothing submitted goes live unreviewed.

Open the map

Installers

The people who will fit a charger at your house, by city, with the services they actually offer. Listing is free and being listed buys nothing else.

Running-cost tools

Charging cost, five-year ownership, subsidy and real-world range — all driven by the same published tariff and derate figures the rest of the site uses, so they cannot disagree with it.

Public, permanent, and carrying the old figure alongside the new one. It is the part of this site we would rather you judged us on.

The method

One score, out of one hundred, built from eight things

Nobody at Voltranker types a score into a box. We enter measured data such as ground clearance, warranty length, service centre count, price, and real-world range. The system calculates the rest.

This is deliberate. A score that a person can adjust by hand is a score that can be bought, and we designed that possibility out of the system rather than promising not to use it.

Vehicles are ranked within their price tier only. A budget hatchback is never scored against a premium sedan, because that comparison tells a buyer nothing useful. The full methodology is published and versioned — when we change it, we say so.

The full methodology
  • Value

    22%

What the car costs against what it delivers, on the on-road price rather than the ex-factory one.

  • Reliability

    22%

Build quality, battery warranty terms, and the fault history of the platform where one exists.

  • Performance

    18%

Real-world range, charging speed, efficiency and how the car actually drives.

  • After-Sales

    12%

Service network coverage, parts availability and what happens when something breaks in Sukkur.

  • Company Trust

    12%

How long the importer has been here, whether they honour warranties, and what happens to owners when a brand exits.

  • Charging Network Compatibility

    5%

Whether the connector and charging rate match the network that actually exists in Pakistan.

  • Pakistan Road Suitability

    5%

Ground clearance, suspension and cooling against Pakistani roads and Pakistani summers.

  • Market Sentiment

    4%

What owners report, weighted low because sentiment is the softest evidence we hold.

Independence

What money cannot buy here

A company that pays us gets a better profile page. It does not get a better score, and our commercial team has no access to the scoring system.

Editorial policy

We will not raise a company's rank because they pay us.

We will not let a company hide or remove its score.

We will not sell your details to dealers as a sales lead.

We will not take commission on financing or insurance.

We will not put the methodology or the rankings behind a paywall.

We will not accept a gift worth more than PKR 2,000 from anyone we cover.

The business

How this is paid for

A ranking site that will not say where its money comes from is asking for a trust it has not earned. None of these touch the scoring engine.

Full revenue disclosure

Advertising

Display placements and labelled sponsored articles, sold by a team with no role in scoring and no sight of scores before publication. Never inside a ranking table or a score panel.

Verified subscriptions

A manufacturer gets a verified badge and a channel to correct their own specification data. It changes nothing about how they score.

Market reports

Quarterly industry research built from the same records that drive the public site. Nothing is modelled that we would not publish.

Comparison reports

A written comparison for one buyer's circumstances. No dealer referrals, no affiliate links, no paid placement — it would be worth nothing otherwise.

When we are wrong

Anyone can challenge a score, and we answer in writing

A challenge has to name a pillar and carry evidence, because a challenge without either cannot be reviewed. It is then read by a second editor — not the one who set the original score.

If we were wrong, the correction is published with the old figure, the new figure and any change in rank. Nothing is quietly edited.

14

business days

The written response time on every accepted challenge. The clock starts when you press send, and the date is in your acknowledgement email.

The people

Who sets the scores

We are asking you to trust a number. The reasonable next question is who produced it.

Voltranker is based in Lahore, Pakistan. Names and roles go here once the team page is written — until then, reach us directly at shoaib@voltranker.com.

Nothing has been invented in this section. On a site whose argument is that its numbers are accountable, a made-up masthead would undo the argument.

Found something wrong?

Factual errors get corrected and logged in public. Disagreements about a score go through the challenge process, which has a written deadline attached to it.
